  • Nic's Gallery (updated 05.14.2007)

It is about time for me to post some images and start contributing to this great forum. A lot of what I generate for living stays confidential for a while yet I also design some houseware named "Miam-Miam food lifestyle" in my down time. Here are few shots... As you can see, I don't have much using mapping/advanced texture as I still have lots of issues understanding settings. I typically still add graphics in photoshop after the fact but I would love to be skilled enough to render them directly.

I would like to take this opportunity to thanks all the active contributors of this forum, especially Micha who helped me a lot with his tutorials/lighting expertise...

    Your feedback is very welcome.

    Cheers,

    nicolas

Thanks guys, I am flattered by your comments, especially coming from Micha the expert!
I honestly think that I am just a beginner and I need to explore the more complex set-ups/features. Now that the book is finely released, I'm gonna crank it up

Great renders, I like No's 7,8,11,12. Did you use the same studio and rendering setup, is there any way you could upload the studio and rendering options ?

                Hi Nicolas,

Yours are some of the most realistic renderings that i have seen on here .. really Great!! I am a new user of Vray and I have been trying to render a white plastic product in a white environment. I have been through the entire manual but I am really struggling with getting bright highlights and core shadows on radii, its just looks so dead. So, I was hoping you might be able to share a screen shot of your lighting environment and the various intensities, for the insulated cup renderings. Any advice you can give me to obtain a good environment would be much appreciated. Once again great work!!

                Thanks ... Christina
