This is one of my first renderings using VraySU. This is a model of a fire station I worked on last year. Pretty straight forward settings. Looking forward to further understanding Vray. Any and all comments are welcomed. Thanks! ;D
These renderings are interesting because they are using vray in a stylised way to enhance what would otherwise be straight forward presentation elevations. Nearly everyone else in the forum (including me) is striving for 3d realism.
I think to use vray in this way is a refreshing change.
Personally I would have gone for a bit more depth to the shadows to improve the 'modelling'. This could be done by using the vray sun (and maybe with soft shadows). Also some of the windows seem to lack the blackness of glass (that would be appropriate for this model).
I think there is a difficult line to walk between making things real, and having them stylised. Otherwise I like it. Its like you are photographing a physical model in the studio.
