    My interior test.

My only new subject about this render was that even with the Vlado universal settings I got some black areas in the wall that hasn't much light.

I used 1000 subd, should I use more?

Here they are, the other image is my scene

Can you try doing a daylight scene?

      Re: Interior room

Great render. Personally everything looks in order as far as the lighting goes. It looks quite natural, and some of the darkness in the corners are fine. Sometimes there is a tendency to want to over illuminate a scene, which can produce a flat, and unrealistic lighting. To me the contrast by having a corner or two a little darker is fine because in the real world that corner would be dark in that situation. And once you start going down the road of putting a little spot light here or a point light there, it takes much more to setup and balance the lighting for a good natural look. As far a lighting goes, the simpler the setup is, the easier it will be to deal with and the faster it will be to render. You really can't get much simpler than one light, so I say stick with it.

        Congratulation, very nice lighting!

Try with a little smaller floor texture.

            Hi all

            Thanks for the feed-back.

The floor is very simple, i used planar mapping, you can see in the image below.
The configs are +- VLADO universal, I just open the file again and seems that maybe I forgot to use the correct 2.2 gama....upsss

              Hi sergio,

Can you provide us the floor texture bitmap file if possible ?
And what are the properties of your rectangular lights ?

I will be happy if you can provide these. Thank you

                Hello Sergio,

I could not resist to do some PS work to your image (overdone it a little bit i think...)

Basically color correction, levels, sharpening and a little bit vignetting...

Personally I think for such a scene places exposed to direct sunlight should be much brighter compared to those being hit only by indirect light.

I think there is something weird going on at your window frames (black areas)

Another thing is that i find your windows way to dark, have a look at interior photos, the Windows usually look very blown out...

                best regards

                Andy
