I found this tutorial very useful. It is a Vray for Max tutorial, but you can set almost all these settings in Vray for SketchUp.

I'm happy to see that your looking beyond just the resources available to vfsu and looking at some of the things that are available for V-Ray as a whole. There's allot of great resources out there, and this tutorial is certainly one of them. The chair and your setup look good. Personally I would decrease the bump a little bit, but thats just me. And the mesh could use a bit of smoothing (I don't know if there's a plugin or script that will do this for su), but other wise a great studio setup.
