oh i didn't know in sweden we say surkula with one u to someone who is very sulky

to mzmeskal i us a very simple lightning setup in my scenes with one or two lights, for main source a direct target light, and one fill light omni with vray shadows and mostly together with enviroment skylight, a tip some times i i don't close the whole scene (i leave one wall without a wall) so that the enviroment light can come in i don't know if this is a good way but no way is a bad way. for rendering i usualy use default if i have less detail i lower the min / max rate with lots of detail i also increase the interp. samples.

I liked the second one very much, but I think you should consider mapping the leather a little smaller, a bad mapping can really ruin a good image... you should always look at the real material very thoroughly before mapping it in a model
other than the leather texture the scene looks really good

                      regards,

like them both...glasses seem a little chunky on the first one, and the vertical vanish on the right of the second one is a little unsettling...wonder if a subtle fisheye would cure it?

it would be interesting to see. I wonder if it would cure it, as often photos aren't shot with vertical verticals, yet it doesn't seem to notice so much as in 3d renderings.

goto http://www.scriptspot.com and download the technical camera modifer script.

                              it helps with vertical verticals.
