Re: My 1st Interior perspective(help needed)

Heres the latest work of mine I just did last night. As i've said before, i'm still having a hard time with the sun's rays. I still couldn't figure it out.

    My questions:

    1. Why is the clear glass in the shower partition color blue?
    2. The diffuser light in the cove is also color blue.
    3. I installed rectangular light in the cove(above the counter) but nothing seemed to appear. Ive set it to 2000, color white. Why is that so?
    4. Where can I download 3d toilet fixtures? Do you guys have Philip Starck water closets and lavatories I could borrow?

    Need comments and tips!

    Mike

My final pool render. I added an opening on the ceiling to add more light to the room. When I have time, i'll post process it and add refractions of the water to the ceiling.

        (Your bathroom scene)
The surfaces that are blue look like the 'wrong' side of a sketchup material. Check to see is you have applied a vray material e.g. glass to those surfaces - you may have missed it. Also try putting an emmitter material on your corner shower light - it will make it glow.

There are a number of reasons why your lights may not be working.
1 Are they turned 'on' in the vray light itself
2 Have you got default lights turned 'on' in the global switches
(I don't think they need to be set to 2000. About 100 up to say 500 should do it)

Try www.villeroy-boch.com - they have loads of excellent 3d sanitary ware.

Are you using the physical camera and the sky environment turned on? Because that, together with the sun in the right place in sketchup, should get the sunlight coming thro the window.

        Good luck

        David

Thanks David. I will try to apply what you have just told me. No, the lights are turned on. I'll double check the settings and try to render it again. Hopefully, i'll be able to improve tha render outcome this time.

          Thanks and more power.

I need to adjust the brightness of the outside environment and not affect the natural lighting in the interior. Anybody knows a solution for this? I think the sun burned my grass.

I suggest that you play around a bit more with the lighting, and camera exposure settings. At the moment I find the yellow, under-unit light a bit out of place. Try deciding where you want light, and then putting an invisible rectangular light close up to where you want the effect. They provide nice soft lighting effects. (the last image could do with a lot more exposure)
Otherwise materials, refections etc are all looking good.
Also, I have been trying out the settings provided, very kindly, by Mado (see recent post).
I have found them excellent, and rendering at 1600 pixels they are providing impressive results - (I will post soon)

                Regards

Thanks David. I'll look around and see if it will improve my render, I think Mado knows best. I'll also try to change the lighting settings of my bathroom. The problem with me is I can't stay put to one perspective. I always try to experiment with different setups with different scenarios and I couldn't keep up with myself. ;D

Yeh, I know what you mean. I am always seeing something that needs tweaking - then re-render - then tweak - its never ending - until the next project comes along - and then here we go again!!

Try the Mado settings - they are good.

Re: My 1st Interior perspective(help needed)

Thanks David. I've tried the Mado settings but it seems it doesn't work well with my perspectives. Anyway, I've posted this new bathroom design for comments and suggestions.

I've changed the lighting and design of the toilet for experimentation. I guess it is hard to combine good rendering with good design. This render isn't finished yet. I still have to re-work my pinlights and some color schemes to be used to compliment that design and materials. I'll probably change my tiles too.

By the way, do you know how I can remove the blue patches in my frosted glass divider? Also, the orange colored column did not reflect on my mirror? Where did I go wrong? Any tips guys? Thanks in advance.

                      Regards to everyone,

                      Mike

                            Mike

The bedroom looks great. It just needs some clutter - plants etc. as it is rather empty at the moment. Also the room looks like it is night, but the view out of the window doesn't match.

The bathroom is looking better. Still an issue with lighting - downlighters don't appear to be on, but there is some light shining on the ceiling - have you got an invisible light reversed? I suggest more light over the sink area - maybe use a large rect light (invisible).

Like the frosted glass - very effective.

Blotchy walls, inappropriate accent wall colour, imperfect re-sampled floors, wrong sun orientation and lotsamore. Grrrrrr!!!
