I know I’m very much a newbie with VRAY and you all produce some amazing work here but I’m having a lot of fun with vray and want to learn so any help and/or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

    Re: My Bike Model

First off, awesome model. Its so much easier when you have a really detailed model like that to make really great renderings. As far as the render itself goes, I would like to see it with a lighter background. Right now the background is very dark, so the reflections in all the chrome is very dark. Also the background kind of blends into the paint at certain points which becomes a little confusing. All the materials are there, I think. Your chrome and paint look good and you've got your scene set up for good reflections. The only scene setup I would suggest would be a little different antialiasing setup. Right now you've got a few thin elements in the scene and some bright reflections in the chrome, both of which are producing a few jagged edges. Either a better AA setup (more subdiv or a higher max rate) or Enable Subpixel Mapping and Clamp Output (both are in the color mapping rollout and will help smooth those edges). Its still a great shot, so keep playing with it.

      Damien,
Thank you so much for your comments there are a lot of paths you can go down with V-Ray and a little help like this so beneficial. I have modeled quite a few bikes and look forward to V-Raying all of them.
      Thanks
