  • Monky business

    Hi render freaks,

Another light experiment ('default' sky, no extra lights added).
I enhanced the light a little in Pshop to give it more drama and fog effect.
This is how: 'color range' select for the highlights, pasting this selection in a new layer, applying gaussian blur (effect menu) to it and change the layers blending to 'lighten'.

The monk is a 'face me' cutout component.

    Feel free to comment.

    Cheers,
    biebel

        Re: Monky business

        Thanks guys...much appreciated

Next shot is more of a fantasy image. the cutout billboard monk is a 2d illustration so this is not exactly realistic...more like 'in-game' imagery.
        Big fun though to make

The model can be found here: http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/ ... revstart=0

biebel, i like the way the texture wrap around the dome and curved walls. is this material attached in vray or in skethcup material? just curious, as i havent tried attaching a material yet on a dome and how the texture will wrap in sketchup.

              Re: Monky business

To texture the walls, I simply did a 'select all' in Sketchup and used the paint bucket to get the stone tiles on.
The textures on the dome are automatically tiled like that.

Hi, very cool to see a render one of my models also with textures!!!! (i was too lazy to texture it) keep the good work.

by the way the monk is really an early version of darth sidious (ep. III star wars)

the link above is not work, if you want the model: http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehou...f26627507e65ed
