      migz,
i saw ur work nice job...but i think u can enhance that by creating a vray linked mat to produce a good effect on the wood...omni can produce scalloping light but i rather do a rectangular light to lessen the rendering time.....nice exterior but i cannot comment u on that coz im struggling also on exterior.....nice start...keep on posting...

        migz,

agree with you on that, the image you just posted will just tell your excitement on them. it seems you could now light your image now. the next thing is texturing, agreed with alq the easiest way is to use to create vraylinked materials so not to worry that much in mapping. second perhaps on the glass you can import those glass material in your model and use them in your glass. david cauldwell has also shared a nice glass material which you can actually download on this site.

i agree with the wood texture..i actually made it a linked material plus noise..it doesnt made a good result though..

..thanks for the info bro..i never knew that rectangular lights can lessen render times on a similar scalloped light effect like omni..that bedroom scene alone consumed me 5hrs to render..thanks for the tip!

ive actually used david's glass material on the windows..i rendered it using IR+LC..

i heard QMC would make a better result but would it consume more render time than IR+LC?

did you use double glazing on your window glass?

Migz, just wondering how the hell did you made the tegula roofing tiles on the 2nd image? Care to share it? I'm having a hard time making clay tiles for the roof. Thanks!

Nice renders, but the glass isn't performing as it should.
Check if you have something (a plane) immediately behind the glass - this could cause the 'solid' look.
Also, is there anything to reflect in the windows (a billboard or modelled items)? If not, then the glass will appear blank.
                Nice tiles!

                Good Luck

..mike, the tiles were downloaded from the 3dwarehouse..its a tedious task though arranging it..heheh...u can find many good items there too..

                      migz,
nice ambience for the exterior...im not a fan of 3d trees though try do it in ps...put an image at the back of ur screen so that the glass gives reflection to the scene see david tut on exterior,y not putting an interior furniture to add life to the structure....(nangbu22raot lang..he.he.he.... ...really like the feel of ur exterior...hope i can do that....

                      alq....

thanks alq for the great comment..

i didnt really pay attention to the 3d trees coz i already knew that it wont give good result when rendered..i like though the shadow made by it..it gives softness to the bland shadow of the structure..

PS.. can i be the 3rd member of the vray pinoy team?..heheh...ive been playing the fonts in ps to match yours..what font is it?..

                        ciao!
