  • Arch room render

This was just a quick test. I am still having trouble with the exterior light being to bright and washing things out. It seems no matter what I try I continue to have these same issues.

Also, can someone give me some ideas as to what would be causing the hot spots along the wall?

When things are like this (burned parts) using physical camera is just a must.

      scott,

im not sure if you are asking on the light leaking on the wall or the burn out spots.

anyway for the light leaks, you have to increase the IR pass ( if you use say (-4,-3) this could cause a light leak. so you have to increase the IR pass say min.-2, max 0)

as for the burn out spots. the sky multiplier is high so you have to lower it down or you you can also use the camera as another walk around.

I am using a physical camera but I am using an IR pass of -3,0 so I will try something higher tonight. Also I will try lowing the sky multiplier.

Does anyone have a step by step for setting up displacement materials? I have seen a few here but can not seem to get the same results.
