Worship Series work

ok im trying to do a worhsip series work using 3d visualization.
before that i use a simple object to test light and shadow. on these first two image i created a simpl light box (with omni light inisde) and covered it with simple face. then this simple face i used freehand tools to carve some holes to allow the lights to project to the model.

i am attaching two of my image using this test.

Different approach to painting? right? I have seen people using photograph as tool, but not 3d Engine.

i was trying to do that spotlight effect and couldnt figure it out. It would be nice for you to start selling your files with vispot so that way we all save time and frustrations.

@man.. yeah volumetric lighting would be nice.
@graditec. visoft is not evn the solution here... what i ahve done is this. i created a simple cube and float it in the center of the room. then i put a omni light inside this cube. then the face of the cube facing the sculpture i inscribed a small circle and deleted that part. therefore the light has the room to cast its light but at the same time the whole cube screen the lights. so even i will share my visoft it would have no avail becasue the spread of light would be everywhere.

Your renderings (and lighting) are exquisite. Now you've done the painting, I see what you are about with this - use the 3d model to set up the view point and lighting, by experiment, and then paint it. Great.

david, yeah.. i was encourage by my co art teacher to pursue this technique. and im actually on fire with it "inspired". yeah 3d modelling and rendering engines are really good tools to study lighting and camera viewpoints...

Yes I paint. but i enjoyed teaching art more... I actually had some exhibitions before. My paintings ok.. i will take some pictures of them. some of them had been sold though, but of course not that expensive.
