i can't understand, the picture looked quite good, if only raptor said from the start the model was not made by him ...

and the "old old old car" picture looks great, but perhaps the model is again someone else's ...

i don't know the rules in this matter, but perhaps it`s not a sin to use other people's stuff in your work, if you mention the sources ? strictly speaking we all do it less or more, the difference is in the honesty.

I think your taking it a little far on the last post.

Raptor, if you simply said that you got the lizard from some where and the rest of the scene you would have gained alot more respect than you initialy got. The overall composition of the scene was great but you lost all credibility when claiming to have modeled the lizzard. You and others newer to 3D should know better, due to the amount of professionals in this forum that most of us have seen these models before and claiming to have made it makes you look real bad. I do admit that some in here took this a little far and I apologise for that but if you are pursueing a CG type job then dont let this discourage you. Just remember to give credit where credit is due. No one will shame you for using others models in your scenes but as I said there is a large number of people who have been active in the 3D scene for quite a few years and most likely someone will recognise others works.

The choice is your to stay or go from this forum Im not trying to push you either way.
