Very Very impressive, I especially appreciate the tones and "graphics" of the image, having just qualified and using skippy on my final I have alot of respect for people who are willing to push the envelope of such a package. Good luck for the future, and if you could post a few of your setting or materials that would be welcomed by many i'm sure...

Another question what was the render time? did you link to other machines or just render on a solo cpu?

Great work I will look for your work in publications you have talent.

thats was so impressive. keep on tweaking the building for more concepts and ideas.

I think you can send that as an entry for www.evolo-arch.com for competitions.

it took me roughly about 8hours for the first one and about 4 hours the second one on a solo cpu... :-[

          amd x2 48000+
          nvidia 8600gts
          2Gb ddr7

          --my settings--

          output - 2048 x 1536
primary engine - irradiance map muilt 1.0
          secondary engine - none
environment is standard except color change..

thanks for the info... i will visit the site... :P

have u guys any shortcuts that could render this a little bit faster...?
does it had to do with the skp size or the material used?.. i mostly use imported materials from skethup and only vray mapping few... :

Your first use of vray? well nice effects
I'm also a student but I didn't get such good results (maybe because I was introduced to VfSU only a week ago, eh)

I see the overall view trees looks good even without materials (I guess, they look much worse in my renders in close-up.

Anyway you've made it look a bit like a render of a physical model, not real thing. I don't like that - roads and pathways look strange. Although transparent people look good. The background of the third image is great - is this photoshoped? or where you able to make fog in VfSU? I'm not a fan of very reflective city but it seem to work great here, even though there are some strange reflections in the lower righ corner of the first image. And the floor in the third is terrible.

I also love the gold-like tile texture (material) on the skyscrapers
One more thing about the first image - I thing it shouldn't cut in half the right high-riser, it focuses more on the city and its reflections and not the project.
Oh well, its pretty good anyway

You'll have a chance to get back on my project when I post it

              well thanks for your comments...

the reflective effects of the surrounding building is there for 'psycho' the lecturers...
;D .. i guess it didn't do the trick eh..? i didn't modify it in anyway.. just pure rendering...
i had more things to show but i guess maybe not...
              i'll be eeembarasseddd... :-[

how about you show yours and share few tips in here...
i'm sure has a lot of things to critique/comment anyway...
