  • First Attempt at Vray 4 SU

This is my first attempt at Vray for Su.
Had a problem with light under pyramid. I would most appreciate your c&c's.
My next project is going to be a little smaller, so that I can concentrate on texture and lighting. A bathroom would seem appropriate. ;D

        Hard to say something...
very glossy, very pro, very nice materials..

I miss the sunlight maybe and shadows from the windows, tough.
And maybe for interiors shots I would go to 4/2 ratio instead of 4/3, as there is not ground or sky to show..

Do you plan to throw people or vegetation in the pictures ?

          What do mean a 4/2 ratio? I'm a bit lots :-\

I will add in people with Photoshop, because I could get a transparency mapping to work in render. Maybe you could give me some in sight into how to do this properly. The Vray manual is a bit sketchy on this subject.

It is the image's proportion like 16:9 for cinemascope , 4:3 is a television or most of the monitor's proportions.
The 4:2 (4000px by 2000px) or double square is a cool proportion for large building or interior (personal).

Placing people is a real challenge, I suggest to put one or two..no more and you want take the time to do it right.
If you want to use photoreal cutouts, you should colors balance them and tone curving to match with the levels of your renderings...

Thanks for the advice, will try 4:2 ratio next time. ;D

How do i put people into a render without post editing. I tried using an texture of people with a transparency map to cut them out, but didn't work.
