help with interior rendering

I'm trying to do some interior renderings, however they are coming out quite dark, also i've notice that the wood texture seems to be reflecting on the ceiling and walls making them brownish, the texture... neither the wall, floor or ceiling is reflective. has anyone run into this problem? also if you see something else that could help me, i'm open to suggestions. thanks

Best for posting images use a free image host like www.photobucket.com

this is not a problem. it is normal and happens in real life too.
