    Re: kitchen

nice render, but I think its too dark.
And u must reduce the noise. Did u use QMC? reduce the QMC to 0,0001, it's takes long time but the result quite better.

    Regards,
    Nick

      Re: kitchen

hi nick i actually used IM and LC i think the problem with the noise is the rectangular light i used 500 on subdivisions, maybe i need to increase it. about if it looks too dark in my monitor looks just fine but would be good if someone else can give his opinion, any way thx bro.

        Re: kitchen

It's not dark.. I would say that it has the 'teofas ambient' a little bit cold look,
witch I like by the way. About the noise..0,0001 it will be to much...huge rendering time
0,005 it' good enough, and for super quality 0,002 if I remember..not shore enough.
        are u using gamma correction?

Re: kitchen UPDATE!! help with illumination

              It's OK bro.
Tip: if you want the shadows to be softer, increase the sun size,
I make mine @10, but that depends from scene to scene.
Also, scale down just a little the floor texture.
For specific wood object ( in your scene, the table) I found that
IOR 1.3 and reflection glossiness@ 0.85, give a nice refined look
for woods, especially the darker ones, reds, browns..
OK...let's see the final result then..
              Good Luck!

Re: kitchen UPDATE!! help with ilumination

                Hi stefanq,

i've sort of lurking around this thread for a while now and i will say that i hav learned a lot from u guys. anyway, i've read a couple of times about adjusting the sun size to soften the shadows. But were exactly can i find the sun icon or tab in sketchup? (or is it inside the vray plugin?)

                Thanks and keep on renderin..
