  • STUDIO EFFECT

    Me again with my HDRI...
This time I use another type of map (light probe), witch it's mapped as "angular".
Somehow I mist up the geometry when I was trying to smooth some surfaces, but anyway all I want from this experiment right now, is to see what's the difference between different maps, without changing anything in the scene.

wow, like i said before hdri master, very impresive, to me first one looks like a photo, i really dont know what your talking about(light probe?, maps?) im an ignorant in this issues my brother but i congratulate you for your excelent work, keep up the good work bro.

whoa, you really are doing great with those hdri's my friend.
just wondering, are those background from hdri too?
      it really has great effects.
and the 'decals' (if i am right), the text wrapped on it, was that image mapped?
      anyways,
      love the last one bro!

        Re: STUDIO EFFECT

Thanks guys, but I'm so sorry for the geometry...I'll try to repair what I can.
Teo, don't worry bro, it's not so complicated, just another type of HDRI.
When you have the time, search on google for some references about that subject.
        Thanks for comment!
Migz my friend, I'm glad that you like it.I use the same map for background too, in fact, all the reflections that you see,it's the reflections of the background (I have only the objective model and an infinite plane in the scene). The text came with the model and it's a simple 3d text.
Thanks for comment guys, I'll wait for your renders! Keep them coming!

                    Re: STUDIO EFFECT

I´m going in this direction too. I´m using the old Audi TT file but now i´m trying to use dome, light probe and stuffs. So, i was reading this:

                    http://www.dhimaging.com.au/3D/downl...RI%20Image.pdf

But i´m stuck in some questions:

1 - Do you set the HDRI image on the material or on the scene? See how on this PDf the guy set the dome to iluminate the scene with the HDRI image.

2 - If you´re not using the dome, how skylight and background are working?Turn on, turn off?

Well... i think that cover the basic.

                    Cheers!

                      Re: STUDIO EFFECT

Ooh..guys, to many kind words....thanks, but I don't feel that I did something special...in fact, I don't see any bump in those aged and stressed materials, so I think some good HDRI and some good textures it's all that we need.
P R O F E S S O R, in deed, the metallic type of material, gets all the goods from an hdri map.( I'm sorry, I didn't ask you if I may call you that way, but Jeff had a point, you should be the professor of the forum)
Jeff, nice to see you again posting, about the tutorial thing...I upload almost all the scenes with HDRI experiments, and basically , it's a hdri map in GI (Skylight) for illumination, and in Background for reflection, and some good materials, and sometimes, the sketchup sun(shadows). Thanks for comment!
Kgoku, my friend, nice to see you struggle to learn!
I don't know what to say about that dome...I think that is what we have, when we put the spherical map in Skylight, for illumination. In fact, we mapped the hdri as background, and spherical, so in my had, I think we have a kind of dome, but I'm not shore. We have to ask someone...maybe Damien, if we have luck, he will "illuminate" us.
About the "light probe" you should know that it's basically a picture taken to a sphere( fish-eye ball), and you should map this type of hdri as" angular" to make things right. The blurred ones are great for illumination, because vray is not taken that clear samples of light from that sharp pixels anymore, since the map have only "blurred" pixels. Let's say, vray is more adaptive, when it's collecting samples from that map, in order to illuminate the scene.
If you learn something new, please share with us, because I found to be very hard to find some basic explanations, about those hdri things..
                      Thanks to all, regards,
                      Stefan

                        It's stunning

How could you make this random effect of corroded paint on the wooden table???

                        Nice job

Hi Anas, it's just a good map, and still the bump it's not there(don't know what's happened with that). I think the hdri map that I used, made all the job!
