  • WIP - House in BRAZIL

    Hi there, folks.

Well, lemme see. This is a House in Rio de Janeiro - Brazil. I´m using a tweak version of Mado settings ext. I need help on the following points:

1 - I need a good material here. Right now is Cloth but it´s not ok.
2 - Those dark spots are not good.
3 - All the wood in the scene is the same material. But i dind´t like the effect on thoses windows.
4 - Those vegetation need some glossines.

Well, also C&C are welcome! :P

hi kgoku, this exterior render is going good, if you need somo nice materials that dosent look so flat check this link, think it can help, about the dots, maybe increasing the subdivisions on the light cache can help, but im not sure.
I think windows need a little more reflection.
Oh and one last thing, it looks like the top part of the house on the right is a little burn, cauese of the white color, you can fix this making the material in that part a little darker so you can see all the edges when is render, cause if not it dosent looks defined. see ya bro, and keep up the good work.

Re: WIP - House in BRAZIL

        I don't see a real problem with 1. nor 2. nor 3..
Actually that left wall looks beter than the right one. It maybe was unintentional, but the black clouds create some irregularity which is good for photorealism.

I agree on 4.(vegetation) though . The green is somewhat oversaturated.

The scene looks very good to me.

Maybe play some more with the view point as it takes some time for a spectator to realise that the white surface at the bottom of the image is a wall.

I was in debt with this. The final version is this:

The client asked for yellow. I hated, anyway. I also had to make a lot of PS because the client was always changing things. Well... worth the lessons.

                    See yall!

                      kgoku,
It looks much better. Back yard on a sunny day is already sounds good ;D
bringing down the walls on the sides opened up the space. there's one tree in each image that looks too much potoshoped. in the fist image the distanced white wall is burned. also in that image the horizon is suppose to be seen. The glass on first floor is perfect despite the second floor, on witch the glass looks more solid. love the water bump and the camera angle on the scene is also very good.
in the 2nd image i also like the angle of the camera. you talked aboud adding some highlight refl. to those plants, i think it would add to their look more realism.
                      Overall both scenes looks GREAT!
                      Best regards

Thanks man! Like i said, the client was always changing after final renderings so i decided to make adjustments on PS. That´s why the trees are not too good.

I was looking the second floor glass. My backgrond image was not reflecting on the second glass, that´s why it looks so dull.

About the plants highlights...i still don´t know how to do that. :-\

Que nada. Tentativa e erro com o material daqui da comunidade. E mesmo assim eu abandonei esse render porque eu não aguentava mais a cliente mudando o projeto de duas em duas semanas.

                          Cheers!
