This is my first exterior render using vray for sketchup. this is actually my design for a prospect client. i hope you can give me some tips on how I can make this more lively and realistic. Thank you!! All of you are my inspiration. Open for C&C.
thanks man! you mean i should use vray materials and not just link my materials from sketchup? im still learning on how to use bump maps. hope i can incorporate it with the design. thanks again.
Nice Model. You must find some good textures to make it come to life. I would add a bump map to almost every material, unless it is reflective or transparent. Then add either reflection layer or refraction layer. Adding a good HDRI image in the Environment slots and turning off the physical camera will give it more natural color. Try some of the presets (visopts) found in the download section. Keep asking questions and you'll get it.
hi sir migz,
thanks. actually i already read the vray manual.
but of course I think the best tips will be coming from the all the users.
i'll try to digest it again. hehe. hope comments will still be coming up.
Thanks to all.
Nice work Bong. Your concept is nice. Reminds me of a fusion between the old and the new.
Regarding rendering, it's better for you to get your feet wet by reading some tuts on mapping, texturing, lighting, et al. The Vray manual is a good start.
Tips:
Download big maps to avoid tiling. Also try to download hdri's, components from Google library and some 3ds files from other websites.
nice model you have there, your attnetion to details is excellent. there are few things.
1. you need to concentrate in texturing both in Sketchup and using vray materials.
what you can do is to download some useful texture. bigger size so as the tiling is not obvious. look for seamless texture. find Arroway textures, they are for free. jsut be patient for a while.
2. use sandbox (sketchup) for your terrain.
3. bump can be produce by making the picture black and white. you can do it using photoshop, gimp or other softwares.
Thanks guys! im happy you all liked my concept. ill just be pondering on all your comments. actually ive already read the manual. maybe need to read it more. im happy that your helping me on how to make my rendering look better. thanks again! i'll update the photo once im done with the changes. Still open for C&C.
