Updated: I used my own visopt...now sun rays are working.

in sketchup the sun is based off the sketchup shadow settings,location,time of the year and the time of the day.the north point can be indicated in ur scene after that its just a matter of applying the notion of the sun rising in the east and seting in the west. therefore a ten o clock sun wud be to the east at an acute angleetc hope that was helpful ;D.

sorry for that i tend to do that at times no offense intended ;D better results just tweak the materials a bit and it will be perfect.
