here's an example of both dark and not so dark shadow, i wanna achieve the shadow casted on the center, that darkness, around the circle the shadow is very soft
Now we can see what you want, you are showing a studio set-up, so you need to turn off the 'default lights' (the sun) and experiment with one omni light, or a small rectangular light, possibly with GI turned off. Have a look at Nomeradona's work, as he does a lot of 'studio' set-ups.
hi man, the first one is the oclusion map of 3d studio max, made with the map dirty of vray, we dont have this kind of material on vray 4 sketchup.
But you can make shadow darker, decreasing the number of prepass of light cache on secondary engine, and the multiply. You can also play with the contrast on GI, just try it, lower the number and get mor contrast ok? i hoppe this can help.
hey andeciuala, man, it worked! thank u so much, i was using, primary: irradiance, and secondary: quasi monte carlo, all i had to do was decrease the multilplier from irradiance from 1 to 0.3 and it made my shadow darker without changing any GI , i was using enviromental light, not omnis or rectangulars. thanks man!
