  • Various Projects

I haven't posted anything in the gallery yet, so here's a few of the projects I've done. Some of these are projects that's still being developed. All thumbnails link to larger versions.

Outdated version. The new one got people and vegetation, but I don't have access to that at the moment.

I wish I had proper birds eye view grass images. Anyone got some?

impressive! The grass is real photo look.
Did you model the grass, lake and hill in sketchup or just post touch with ps?

      Re: Various Projects

For the first image I used Micas method: http://asgvis.com/index.php?option=c...0&topic=2320.0
For the next two, the cabin, it was just photoshop. The grass and the background all came from photos of the actual site. But I didn't photomatch anything I just sliced and diced wildly until it seemed to fit. And with the horizon from the site the client would recognize the area.

For the last one I had applied a SU texture, then I went out and took some pictures from a nearby grassfield from as high up as I could get. I then used lots of samples from them photos and overlayed and blended the SU texture in Photoshop. This grass is what I'm the least happy with.

The background here was taken from other photos. Not from the location at all and the angle doesn't even match. The horizon was taken from the same set of photos which I used for the grass. But at least the horizon belongs to around the city where the project is located, so it's not completely alien. It was a bit of a quick and dirty job.
