  • Porcelanas (Ceramic)

    Hi all

Here is something that I did for the training in a new ceramic design company.
Rhino is great for ceramic also.

Hoppe you like it, textures were found on the internet and the Rhino texture was made from another user of vray. (love that render)
    regards
    Sergio

    Beautiful work

Absolutely gorgeous! I think the extra effort in making an nice scene arrangement -- both the camera angle AND the various objects -- really makes this render pop.

One question : underneath the rear (sideways) cup, there is what appears to be a shadow / reflection artifact. What are we seeing there?

      Re: Porcelanas (Ceramic)

      Hi

I just checked that because I didn't remember very well.
Seems that is my problem because I was looking to get harder shadows and I added (I don't know why) some IES light for that.

I think my idea was to add a simple spot light , but then I changed to ies to see the diference and maybe forgot to re-change.

      regards

Sergio, wow! would you mind posting your scene for me to have a look at? I'm working on some ceramic stuff at the minute but I haven't been able to quite get what I'm after. This is perfect!

              Hi Andy

Sorry but I have been with a lot of work and I never remember to see my private messages in the forum, the emails allredy give me enought work

Below some images that show the complete setup.
The mid light is white and intensety is 1.

The materials are normal ceramic from VR database.

              Good luck on your renders
              regards

                Re: Porcelanas (Ceramic)

                I know the feeling!

thanks for the update. I'll try out the light setup, it seems to give a really subtle finish that would be great for my stuff.

                Thanks!

                  Re: Porcelanas (Ceramic)

Absolutely gorgeous render! I'm new the Vray world and am desperately trying to create a realistic ceramic texture for vitreous china (porcelain)sinks that I design. Is there any way you may be able to share the material?

                    Hi Morgan

I stared with vray about 1 year ago and I dever worked with render in my life.
I'm mechanical engineer , moulds and plastics.

I'm shore you will have good results if you try hard.
The material is the default porcelain that comes with vray.

did you said you were designing some china porcelain sinks?

Check one that I did for a company, i will make a new post.

                    Regards
