    hi all!
I've already posted these images...but I realized I did in the wrong session.
I do it again also because I'm asking if you can tell me how to avoid one thing (guess I quite newbie in SU)
If you look at the black chairs (the eames one) they don't look so smooth!
Do you think is anyway to make them smoother? or is a problem of the model? segments are too big?
Any other feedback about the images?
    thank you a lot
    Vincenzo

    Re: living room

I had some problems with imported objects (3ds).
In max, the model was OK, but after export, in sketchup they don't look smooth. I'm just guessing here, but I think in max it was applied a smooth operation or something, and it wasn't translated to sketchup when you did the import.

Basically what I did was to download the file from hermannmiller website.
Then do you think that if I open it in Rhino and then export adjusting the mesh options, could I achieve a better result?
I have only used max for render but never for modelling.
      thank you Stefanq

        Re: living room

V, I don't think that will help....the best you can do is to try to smooth the chair. And try to find the model from www.archibase.com. I get often very good 3ds models from there. Good luck!

nothing wrong with the model dude, just turn the anti-aliasing ON at the image sampler on the vray options menu, leave it on AREA and 1.5 that should do it.

            Ty guys!
I think is a lot depending on the model, the way it has been done.
I don't think is due to antialiasing setup, even because I tried with that and nothin happened.
            Anyway thank you
Next time I'll choose better 3d models
