  • Chrome @ Exterior Scene

    hi guys,
just a quick question. I tried to render a chrome material @ exterior, but came out all blueish. the material reflects all the sky cloud. could anyone give me a hint what i did wrong. I use the latest verson 1.503 vray. the setup i use is still camera, sky as GI & sky background. The reflection layer is set as default setting except the IOR is 30. & no HDRI. Below is what i got. Please help!!! thanks.

    Re: Chrome @ Exterior Scene

Seems to me the chrome material is doing what's expected. It's reflecting the environment. It turns out blue because your surroundings are blue, just sky.
You need surroundings in the form of either a background environment map or you need to model an environment.
Please mention what V-Ray and SketchUp version you are using when posting questions.

You gotto make sure you set the correct environment mapping type to match the one in your HDRI. Also, the multiplier has to be adjusted depending on the light intensity in the HDRI. The multiplier required will also depend on whether you use Physical Camera or not.
If you got a render with the HDRI we can have a look at what's going on.

Also, what do you expect the render to look like?
