Yesterday day my friend give me a model and wanna me render it. He also give me a picture drawn by Vincent Van Gogh, and say that I should imitate the enviroment of the picture. So I render the picture as you see. C & C are welcome, thank you.
I think you have got a good model and the render and lighting are very good. The weak point IMO are the people (always difficult).
If your friend really wants a 'Van Gogh look' then you might try applying one of the sketchy type filters in Photoshop etc. to give it a more hand painted effect. (yuk! - not my choice, I personally hate these things that try to be something else) - but it is what your friend asked for!
Ok if you are trying to get critiqued on use of v-ray and realism, then I would say there is some work that needs done. That does not mean that you dont have a very nice image here, because you definately do. It just misses that sense of realism and quality that v-ray can brind (it looks like something that could have been done in a simpler ap. like podium). With that said, I do like the stone a lot and the trees (did you use transparency maps for them?) But the image is very pleasing, it has a very nice style and feel to it. I guess maybe considering which way you want to go with it...do you want realism or something more stylized which is suggested by how you implemented people. I personally would like to see both. But keep up the good work, because you really do have something here. Oh and is that carpet outside ? Doesnt seem like that sort of carpet would be outside but I could be wrong.
Thank you, steeler. You give me a good advice. I will change the people in PS, maybe the picture will be more reality. I want to have 3D people models in the screen, but they are too huge, :P
