originally those people in architectural drawings were meant to give it some sense of scale that everone could relate to easily. but that purpose got lost. nowadays they are happy shoppers, trying to lure possible customers.
thats what you get when real-estate people are making art-direction.
yep....totally agree with you!!!!.....also many times it's the ignorant
clients themselfs that can't see beyond the fake RPCs and don't get that what they are paying for is THE F@#$ING DESIGN not the fake RPCs.....so that should be their first concern, not the lame 2d people...
I feel your frustration...
Love the image... nice look and feel... great light.
I would take the people out for a walk... do not use them in arch viz, if i really need somthing to make the scale more visiable a will use somthing like ghost people very blury and on the move.
where can i get Barcelona chair models... free, if there are any ???
vince. its a great image!!! the foreground plants are even cooler than the background tree. is that easynat as well? Great lighting and nice camera choice. too bad about the ppl. the somehow look dark (something about those rpc simply is not rght).
the vertical comp. is much more effective for the structure/space...looks great!
i tend to agree with most of the comments about the ppl, maybe try a version with very stylized ppl, more of an cartoon or illustration style.
ive always felt that is more effective than a representation close, but not quite acurate...i mean just look at the fact that the ppl have been more of a topic of conversation than this beautiful render.
on a side note...i was looking at the vray gallery for more examples of effective ppl usage and found that only 1 or 2 of them even have ppl in the scene.
i have tried animated lowpoly-people but the result was not too convincing. astonishingly with motion blur it looked better to take figure and slide it through the scene then to animate it correctly. the best approach might be to use dof, place those figures out of focus and maybe add some motion-blur.
but thats quite a task and it will not be paid adequately.
nice!!! love the detail of the hanging lamp!!!!
can you tell us your mat setting for that metal you used on the lamp....I've been struggling w/ a metal slighting reflective like that...
