    Re: help pls

Export as a .fxb file. That should preserve the diffuse colour and texture. But there isn't a way to transfer reflection, refraction, lights and vray options from V-Ray for SketchUp to Max.
Please mention what V-Ray and SketchUp version you are using when posting questions.

no i dont want to preserve the texters that i did from sketch up .

i want to apply the textures from 3dmax but when i do apply the textures from vray for 3dmax only the diffuse color can be seen and no textures can be seen

        Re: help pls

first of all this post should not be in the gallery section but rather to the general section. anyhow if you are interested with rendering with max and apply max materials without preserving the map coordinates that you applied in sketchup. the best way is to just model them in SU and be sure to always make group. then export the scene in 3ds. export the 3ds in max thats it. as for the showing of materials, that is a max related problem. you just update the materials in your scene.

            Re: help pls

If your 3DS Max supports the .fbx format I'd try with that first as it's a newer format and doesn't have all the limitations of .3ds which you might run into.

But if that's not an option export as .3ds

              Re: help pls

i prefer 3ds export. but be sure when working with SU, to keep grouping the models. you dont need modifiers in max when applying materils. as for the wall say for example you have different materials on one plane, be sure to seprate these areas and group them seperately.
