Really nice, the desk looks great, lighting is nice. From a design aspect I think the lamp being wood is just a little too much, but all in all a nice scene.
lightning hmmmm well i have one vray omni inside size 40 for x y z with 5,0 intensity multiplyer enviromen GI set to 4,0 and a standard max target direct light intrough the window with a multiplyer on 1,0 thats it
looks nice.....I like the lighting....the only crit is the floor...I'd increase the gloossy reflections samples...or dicrease the bump on it if any, cause right now it's a bit too noisey...I'm talking about the area next to the window...
the chair cushion needs a bit of help as well; right now it seems a bit too squarish...maybe meshsmooth the edges a little bit more - maybe being too picky...hehhehe - or just personal preference
great work!!! like the color choise in the paintings as well....
Ill try to explain veneering to you, if I am wrong it is only because of english.....
OK. Veneering shows the way the wooden texture is drawn (colorful spline like objects on the wooden texture).
When you consider production of the chair you have two choice. Either to make the whole thing out of massive material or use some kind of other and glue the veneering which is really thin cut wood....UFFF
Now usually when you make a leg for a chair the veneering is vertical otherwise the legs could brake (for massive mat).....
Take a look at any wooden chair and study the veneering and the way it is applied. Than try to map your chair likewise....Ill bet it will look much better.....there are some good links to wooden textures on www.syclone3d.com
