i got a favor to ask. Could u explain reall quick the exact steps you took for the IES light because I keep trying and it wont work for me. Ive tried everything from the IES tread but I still cant get it to work
hi steeler... i think the solution is making the opacity map as png file and applying it on both side of the face. third is you need to make the light radius to "0". i have the tutorial here and hope i can do another one here to explain.. but visit this one i did in Filipino forum...
Hello professor! Nice renders, as always. And now the question:
How do you achieve the DOF?
And if it's v-ray's DOF, how do you calculate the correct parameters?

i jsut followed the manual.. but its a matter of trial and error. still having a difficulty with it though, therefore i used a bit of Photoshop (cheating you may called it) to blurry more some parts of it.
Thanks Nomer, I actually got it working. One thing that have been wondering though is how do you control how wide scallops are that are created from the light and how do you control how far the light goes, because sometimes I dont want it hitting the floor. Is it the radius or shadow bias? Come to think of it, does anyone have a tutorial the outlines all the characteristics of a light?, especially in the new version, because Ive notice that you can change the settings to go by lumens, watts, etc...
