  • Robrady design gallery

    Hey guys,
First, a brief introduction, I'm Andre, a designer at ROBRADY design; Along with Erik Holmen http://digitalart.org/epyon550/?ID=6207&section=artwork (check out his painter gallery)
We have been using V-ray for a little more than a year now. It has become a staple tool in our design process.
It took some getting used to at first, but thanks feedback from this community,we are now at a point were we feel comfortable sharing our work.

We have a pretty fast work flow and tight deadlines, so we usually don't get a lot of time to experiment with settings, so the Vray express toolbar has become our best friend.

Enjoy, and feel free to comment.

(obviously not v-ray, but had to share anyways)

    Thanks again!

It is really narrow, but those are definitely worth the scrolling ;D ... Fantastic images, great models, superb design... are the toon/sketchy images for the bike V-Ray? I assume they aren't, but I've got to ask.

        Thanks Dalomar!
the toon like bike sketches are actually, well sketches done in Painter X and a WACOM. (credit goes to Erik on those) the one in perspective next to it was done in v-ray, but was tighten up in photoshop / painter. you can see the untouched up version in my avatar.

          Re: Robrady design gallery

I figured they were something else and probably hand drawn, I just wanted to "confirm". It seams like tablets keep coming up often today (almost all of our artists in the studio brought there's in today), and I've realized that its been a while since I've played around with mine. The bike next to it is probably one of the strongest images in that collection...the metal and plastic are done really well. The tires are maybe too shiny, but its for the show room, right? ;D

Great stuff. I am blown away by your "photo studio" type work. I have to do a lot of that but I have never been able to get that kind of depth in the images. Really hot work.

Next time I upload it will be in thumbnail mode.

Honestly, I don't remember the exact settings, but im sure it was as simple as a base blurry aluminum with a blue filter.

                              Hi there,

some real nice neat renders there.
Just wondering how you got the circuit board to look so realistic on your exploded rendering?

                              keep up the good work
