    Greetings All

This is my first render with vray and I must say that I really like this program...

Just a backgrounder, I used Teofas visopt which I got from the download section and just played with the shutter speed and f-stop.

Some questions though, how do I do volumemetric lighting like for god rays for instance? Another is how do I make a spot light? Tried looking for it in the tutorial but the one I found closest is for rhino. And lastly, how do I make my lantern look more paper translucent as against plastic translucent? I put a emmissive layer on my light bulb for lighting but as you can see... it does not look right

Sorry for the questions...newbie here ;D

your comments and suggestions are greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

This was done in vray sketchup 1.5.3

    Re: First Render

hi robert, welcome to this forum and nice work, about volumetric light you need to use photoshop, spotlights look at this tread http://asgvis.com/index.php?option=c...0&topic=3932.0

about lantern, check the settings i post on this post http://asgvis.com/index.php?option=c...0&topic=5709.0

and increase your bulb emisive material, sometimes because of the parameters, maybe increase it until 60000 or more or less, play with it, until you get the result you want.

theres a little noise on your sofa material, just increase the subdivisions on the reflection layer, hope this helps.
