Glass Material Inquiry

I;m trying to work in a Glass texture. but I don 't feel very satisfy with it. I wonder why I don get a shadow from the Glass piece any Idea how can I obtained It. I'm using the glass material from the Vray express library. I put a rectangular light in the right of the scene as you can observe, the metal piece gets the shadow but the glass doesn't, any idea please?

Have you "checked" Affect Shadows in your material settings? Have you got "Refract Caustics" turn on under Indirect Illumination? Depending on the effect you want, you may want to play around with Caustics in the v-ray options.
