  • Office Interior - Please crit my render...

Hey guys, im nearing the end of this porject but could do with some tips...

Im not happy with the leather, when you zoom in/render close up the leather looks great - but from distance it looks a bit 'speckled' - i have the same problem with the aluminum material on the macs...

Also, the chrome on the seats is a little too reflective / glossy to me and seeems unrealistic, any tips?

    Thanks, D

I would segguest making the monitors an emissive material. Right now it looks like just a plain glossy material, am I right?

If you feel like putting extra lights in I guess it couldnt hurt but I actually like renders that are simply daylit so I think if you adjust the exposure a bit then it would be just fine. Now, with the emisive material. You will want to set a bitmap for the emisive material that is that apple desktop image. Right now you have an emisive layer on top of a diffuse layer but if you set the emisive "color" to a bitmap of the desktop image then you will see a world of difference on those computers.

you cud also try putting a rectangle light outside of the window to add some volume light and try to increase the subdivision on the black chair material it looks a bit noisy.

Heres the latest render... will look at adding more subdivs - the chair material is at 20 at the moment, does this seem right? Again, all commentd are welcome...

I dont see anything wrong with the chair. It looks like your getting some screen artifacting though. Probably caused by all the reflective materials. You may have to clamp the output.
