Excellent renders - love the atmosphere (bright rooms). Smoke is interesting, I guess this is PS in afterwards.
Just when I start to dispair with Sketchup, along comes something like this and other great renders on this site (too many to mention these days) to lift my spirits.

      Nice work

You're definitely alive, and so is your renders.
The 1st image looks very tidy. 2nd is very interesting to look at, well composed and materialized. 3rd looks good. 4th and 5th are good but needs a bit more contrast imo.

          Good work.

            Good work.
I agree that the last few need more contrast. It looks like he may have done that on purpose but everything else is VERY nice. I like the some on the cig. What are you going to school for?

i think i understand what you mean, maybe making that big photograph in the back a color one, and using other material for walls would give that contrast to the room, thanks for the suggestions and comments, i wanted to use concrete and bright colors, i thought i would get the right contrast with that but now i see for some eyes it doesnt quite make it! if i have the time i will try another render with different materials! thanks, cheers!

                Re: Im not dead!

Great renderings! I am looking for high quality components like the indoor plant, books, dishes, etc. in your renderings. What is a good source? If you are using 3ds models, what work flow do you use? I have tried exporting from 3ds to a dwg, then importing the dwg; but the model comes in with missing polygons and no materials. Any suggestions would help! Thanks.

hey there! if you need hight quality components Evermotion is perfect for any need! they have all kinds of stuff from a spoon to a house or a car! and importing dwg is not the best you can do, it makes 3ds models really heavy, exploded, and with missing poly, what you need to do is use the DeepExploration cad edition software, it imports, lets you manipulate and map 3ds, max, obj, and many other formats and export directly to .skp without making models heavier! i hope this helps! good luck!
