It's still relevant, because it's about vray. And since vfsu and vfr has the same V-Ray core those tips can fit for VfR also.

            Re: Done's interior

Hi, i saw your settings and there's a wrong things ;D
Your LC settings are incomplete, pre-filter and Glossy rays are important options. You should check it both For final renders you should decrease Sample size - 0.005 or 0.002
For IM - Samples are too big, this value may increase "flying" effect.
Value for Samples 20 or 30 are quite enough. For final renders you may increase HSph Subdivs to 80-100-120. For bring more detail you may increase Distance Threshold to 0.2-0.3-0.4. You should check - Sample vizibility.

Alexander, thank you very much, ill'try it, but i want to use the combination qmc and light cache...
You think, it's a better combination of engine????

No, DMC is too slow especially for complex scenes, like interiors. IM+LC is perfect. In some cases, you may try DMC like secondary engine. What's your inconveniences about IM? It makes great job, when it's set-up correctly

                  Re: Done's interior

                  Hi
As Alexander said, the best combination for interior scene are IM for the primary engine and Light Cache for the secondary engine. For product design I use to use IM and DMC, usually the product render is a close up shot and you need to get all of the product detail and DMC is the most accurately solution.

                    Re: Done's interior

wonderfull, now it's all my hand, next week ill'post the results of the suggestion of alexander about done's interior, with the correct setting.
                    The last question is:
I need to put a rectangular light nearest of the window for simulate the diffusion of the light, or vray sun it's enough???
                    ???

Use the Rectangular Light (Alexander Tip too)

                        Re: Done's interior

Yes, Rec light on the window(s) with big intensity (as an example - above 100). You should check - invisible, and store with IR

                          Re: Done's interior

Well, now i've made another test, but with override materials enabled, for the light test, Alexander I putted the rec light near the window, 80 intensity

Now i launch the render with materials....

                            Hi David.
Looks a lot better, but try to use a blueish color for the rectangular light in order to simulate the natural light color of the sky.

hi, i0ve stetted the IM & LC how Alexander say, but something goes wrong, the reflection on the wall near the window... the settings of the light isn't correct???

                              settings

                              rec light

Is necessary modify the sampling value of the rec light???
Ferdinando thanks for the tip, ill'change it....
