Very nice Teo!
The 1st image has too much contrast Imho (the bright areas too white and the dark too black)
2nd image is perffect I love it.

Yeah I agree with the first critique, but that second image is beautiful. Did you do the depth of field with the physical camera or post production in photoshop? Either way...it looks great. I have seen a few of your previous renderings that always seem to have a nice, properly, overexposed background that usually seems to fit perfectly...is there any chance you could explain your process? Keep up the great work

steeler: i made the dof in photoshop, its faster that way... the way to fit the background is very simple, i just look images on the internet and try to find one that has a similar light, then is just adjustments in photoshop, nothing complicated.

I guess I am more interested in what adjustments...there are many ways to overexpose images, but you can sometimes destroy an image using the wrong thing. Do you just bump up the brightness and contrast and exposure? Or is it something different every time? DOF in photoshop is much quicker...maybe a bit less accurate but I still like to do it for quick conceptual stuff

steeler here are some of the things i do with photoshop to blend the backgrounds...hope it can be helpfull, its more about color balance and find the right image..
