do you??..I guess that's good ....I treied hard to get them to work toget her: the designer choose those to make it fit the contest (Boise, Idaho - USA, so his using Boise sandstone and replaying that into the window colors and walls....
at first I kinda frowned at the color combo - I mean it ain't Miami , it's freaking Boise - Midwest.
anyway, I know about the conrete/road - need more dirt/car tracks....
and the grass is displacement map - but I think the map it's a bit too tilable....need some noise variation....
desperately trying to get my lighting rght for an exterior, just cant, exteriors aren't really like interiors.
yeah I agree: lighitng exteriors seems actually more difficult now then interiors especially if you have reflective surfaces that need an enviro to refeclt - w/ interiors and vray that's easier.
anyway:
All I have is a direct light for the sun w/ vray shadows:
multiplier 2.3 and color almost white - 255/250/235
i use attenuation settings for it so that it dies out progressivly.....
I have the skylight set to a cool near white (a tiny bit of blue) at 1.3 multiplier
(my sky is kinda overcast so I wanted the lighting to start to match)
other then that, I got two omnis on the inside to brighten that area up a little to show the ground area glass better....
btw, the main light is set behind the camera and above the cantiliver under which the camera sits.
I really like the colors as well. The grass looks fine to me. The road could use some scuff marks, but if this is new construction then there would not be any anyway.
It seems that sometimes people forget that the client want to see their buiding looking brand new. Especially if they are trying to sell using the renders.
yeah...that's true the client wants to see it nice and clean: especially in this case where the hospital admins look for donations (money whales) to build parts of the hospital - plus, yes...it is a hospital after all ...hehe
but, I will do a version for me (and all you grain and dirt/grime adicts :P ) with dirt on the road and a bit of variation on the grass...I do think it's a bit monotone....
thanks for all your comments and suggestions....i'll update soon..
yeah, I've noticed that last night.....somebody must've been screwing with that ftp server at work....sorry guys.
being saturday here.....i don't know if i can do anything....that pisses me off cause i just finished an update for the image above.....I'll see what i can do ........
Something looks weird with the scale now that you placed the truck in it. At first sight it looks small, but then, if I look at the doors behind it (I think they're doors?) the truck looks big. Maybe it's the camera placement, I don't know.
