Yes, it's nice. If you want softer shadows, increase the "size multiplier" of the sun (in GI/Skylight) from 1 to 4-6 or 8.

is it better to do the landscape on photoshop? or should i place a background material? because what i did in the model was vray rendered and not a picture. thats why it looks fake. haha thanks for the tip though

whatever looks good, you can achieve good renders using both technics.

                Might as well ask here.

when i apply my GI sun i rarely get fine shadows like that?

I have not yet finished a complete interior rendering but i find in my test that i see that issue.

                Any quick notes?

                  Re: vfsu test - artu

@gallystops: what i did was increasing the size multiplier under the Options>environment>GI skylight>material texture editor (M). (as stefanq posted here, increasing the size multiplier to 4-8 will have a fine shadow. in my render i used size multiplier 2) i also used 24 shadow subdivs.

i dont know the technical side of the shadow subdivs or subdivs, how it works etc. try to play with those parameter. hehe

can someone explain the technical side of the shadow subdivision? or subvisions?
