  • office for construction company

Hola chicos, this is a personal project of mine for a small-medium size construction company in Mexico...

the project needs development and detailing but these show the overall concept I think...

I want to ask for your advice and opinions on both images...the interior one looks darkish I think (I don't know how to use vray lights, embarrasing!)

    thankss...

hey dude, you can read about rectangular lights on the manual, but right now i don't think you need them. illumination seems good.
do you think you can upload your settings?. i like noise in your images, it might be a little too much.
reflection layers need more subdivs and also some bump to the concrete column at the left of the first images.
is this going to be at the d.f?

Nice render, I think you need to work on the floor adding reflections and define a floor material, and the ofice furnitures needs to have more subdivision in order to reduce noise! and you need more lighting you can go ahead and help the sunlight with a rectangular light

          Re: office for construction company

ARQ: the setting I used for the interior shots is the one made by Teofas a long time ago...that was a huge help and from there I just tweaked the settings to experiment...by the way the noise wasn't on purpose!! when you mention that the reflection layers need more subdivisions, do I change this in the IR Map and Light Cache tabs?...you are right about the column, it is actually plain white color now and it needs some texture to roughen things up and to make it look more real....by the way, the project is in Monterrey, Mexico, not D.F.

DAVEREYES: the wood material actually has a reflection layer but maybe I screwed up the setting because it is not showing up in the rendering.....where would you suggest I put the rectangular light so that the lighting looks "real"?

do you guys know a good material setting for steel? is it shown correctly in the image or do I need to change something? in order for the material to "reflect correctly", do I have to manipulate the texture in PS and put in in the reflection/refraction layer? cause I don't know how to do this....

          thanks for your patience!!

Very nice. I really like the lighting, especially in the first render.

nektares: Thanks for the comment...I like your renders a lot by the way.....The lighting is all sunlight without any extra lights

This is an updated version...I never did manage to get the chair leather material to look decent, tried everything and gave up in the end and I don't know how many subdivisions (in reflection layer) the steel material should have....anyway.....

                    cheers
