  • night shots

    Attached are 2 night shots,same view,different backgrounds.
The mood is definetly different depending on which background is used.
These are low res images and I have purpously ramped up the internal lighting to create a contrast between inside and out

      Re: night shots

I think the background and the front trees and plants help the scene to have realism, but looking only to the house you need to work more on the materials cause they look very flat, glass is ok but wall material and window frames need work also if you can add some components to the scene it would give it life. also some displacemnt on the grass, edges looks to perfect maybe chamfer the edges like in real life, nice job, keep posting.

        It looks really nice!

What i would to ask you is how did you do the reflection of the trees in the balcony glass panel? another question is what kind of glass did you use. The glass really looks nice, i am still not able to achieve the right glass. So please share some info if you can!

The glass is standard vray glass but with fresnel reflection set to 3 rather than the default 1.55.This results in stronger reflections but also retains transparency.
The reflection of the trees is done by setting up a plane in front of the building behind the camera location.this then has a treeline texture added, along with an alpha map.Hope this helps.

                Hello:

can you explain step by step all the settings on the both renders mean, sky settings and light and reflections so we all can learn...Your job is excellent.

                Thank you, in advance!!!!!
The best that I can do is keep learning, and the Renderings are just a small step to get real.

                    Re: night shots

Below is a link to the visopt and background image used for lighting.I used a different background in the final image. You can use place any night/dusk image in the background when post processing in photoshop as long as the new background has a similar colour/tone as the one used in the environment and background slots in the original render.
