NICE ! can you tell us the parsing time of that scene ??
polygon count , size of the file so we can compare with our works ??
I like the carpet hope to see improvements on the displacment options !
one last question about the render times ?is this build faster or is the same ??

I'm not 100% sure, because I wasn't taking the time, but I guess was 2 or 3 min.

The file size is 50mb, and has 189172 faces and 335803 edges

Yes, our displacement is better and you can control the displacement setting per materials

We can't control the speed of the V-Ray plugin here in ASGVIS. The speed is an area of Chaos Group, but as we improve the V-Ray for SU plugin the workflow is smoother.
I used a Mac book Pro 2.6GHz Duo CPU with 4GB ram. So only two core and high render setting, Ambient Occlusion, Z-Depth Channel, etc. took me 26min 3.4 seg
This is the raw V-Ray image. I add a magazine and changed the rug.
It really looks nice, but in my opinion the light above the photoframes look a bit weird. It is a bit to pointy if you know what i mean. And it doesn't do its work of lighting up the frames. But the rest really looks amazing!
Dutch tutorials for Sketchup and V-ray: Proseduction.nl

And although i have some tutorials i still am learning!

I agree with you. The problem is the lamp, to small to place and IES light inside it. I should had to use other type of lamp.
The good new is that you can download the New Build for Mac and Windows and try it yourself.
Nice render, especially the materials.
I've got a problem, when I tried new Vray released, as I pressed the Vray for SketchUp 7 link, it was linked to a fpt site an asked me user name and password, so haven't tried the new release yet
