  • WIP COUNCIL CHAMBERS

Hello all this is my second image upload in a year to this forum, im still very self concious about my material i am creating, they are all missing something, i see everyone elses posts and am totally humbled. I was wondering if anyone could give me some crits and suggestions on the WIP below. Thanks again.. i owe u all this forum has been a great help.

    Thanks
    Ryan
ps. i blurred the logo out for my firms reasons blah, materials are still being decided and well this is it so far. All lights are standard lights using inverse square falloff

    Looks nice so far!!

    crits and suggestions:

    -the repeating floor texture
-it's missing something...do they have plants in a conference room? maybe some plants would make it a nicer picture
-maybe the chairs could use some color, instead of black

    Keep it up!

    Sebastiaan.

I think some soft, blurry reflections in that wood would add a lot to the way your materials interact to the lighting:
it should be something subtle.....right now it's a bit flat.
      plus sebastiaan's suggetions..

nice work so far...like the lighting!!

        hi
        looking good so far
same as above but i would use Photometric lights for the wallwashers, to give a more realistic look.

thanks everyone for the kind comments... im going to try rendering with blurry reflections but do to the time constraints in rendering them i will have to leave it over night since i only have one compputer to work with in the firm and they want stuff instantly .. they htink there is a magic red button that just makes it happen hehe.. as for the lights well photometrics same reason time contraints.. but i shall try it and see... as for plants etc i dont think they will hve them in the council chambers maybe i will have to see what the man wants ... thanks again everyone i will keep at it and post new ones as they come around..

          thanks again

Think it looks great! nice work on the ceiling too. And those Herman Miller chairs look comfy- Id hope so at $800 a pop. Used to have one in my old office. Man I miss those days...

My recommendation is to possibly give it a little depth of field- bluriness towards the back? My second is that monitor in the middle looks a little too sharp. Perhaps you dont need the DOF if that color is not so prominent. My eye is drawn to that kinda heavily- tens to pull away from the rest of the image somewhat.
