very cool nomer. Im so pumped about IES lights. I hope you dont mind, but instead of starting a whole new thread, I was thinking we could maybe turn this one into a place for new vray test renderings (similar to your other simple objects one) so that we dont flood the forum with these test scenes... ? Heres my latest:
i dont see ies light in my render , i use this maps ies , I do not know how to increase the intensity for this IES ,
Select the IES light, then right click on it and select "V-Ray for Sketchup" ans then "Edit Light". You will find a option called "Power". Increase the power to increase the intensity of the IES light.
Power is supposed to be in Lumens. If you hover over the control, you should see a tooltip (text was pulled from Spot3d) about the Power parameter. You really shouldn't have to edit this if you're trying to be physically correct. If you're doing an indoor scene, I don't think there's any reason to be using the Physical Camera is there? Physical Camera's exposure will kill the IES light faster than you can blink.
dont use the physcical camera you will end up raising your value really high. so the main thing if you have enclosed room better noto to use the sun and the physical camera.
but if you have sun coming and still wants to shoaw some ies lihgts ( even during the day time) then all you have to do is the increase your ies power to thousands..
create ies... (its like a cone faceted cone. so the cone symbolize the direction. ) find the location of your ies, increase the power, you may want to tick soft shadow, lumens, then power (give the value). see the test render
