  • Simple Interior Test

    hi guys.
this is a very simple exersice... it is not really my style, but i wanted to try some little sceene and take it as far as possible. i did't invest much time on design, but i did on render.
hope to receive some nice critics to improve

            Re: Simple Interior Test

very nice.. I agree with Camionero to increase the subdivs. How did you manage to drape the texture so nice over the chairs...?

              Re: Simple Interior Test

well guys, first of all thank you for your advices.
i'm posting some images to share my advances:
CAMIONERO: wood is Wood_Cherry_Original from sketchup, i just re scaled it and changed it's color.
DAVE AND DWANIMATIONS: leather map is from cgtextures.com. just go to FABRIC and then to LEATHER... i picked the fifth one and used the tiled version of it.
To set it i just imported it as a jpeg texture and set it on a single plane, then selected it while holding alt key and applied it to the sofa. i changed a little it's color because i wanted it to be brown, but in the end i just let it the way it was.
here i post images of how this map looks applied on sketchup, as well as the images of material editor such as bump map and reflection layer with 1.35 for frenel.
have a nice day and thank you again.

                Thanks for the explanation

But when I try this to apply texture my sketchup file size grows enormously... How did you work that out >>>???

                  hi there Omar,
                  i really loved your images...
hope you don't mind but seeing that you made a rustic style, i wanted to make a modern version of your image... when i'm done with it, i'll post it in the gallery... i really hope you'll like it ;D

                    Re: Simple Interior Test

21D: yeah man, no problem, as i said, this is not my style, but i wanted to make the sceene as real as i could... that's why i picked that armchair and those textures, cause i wanted everything to have a material applied. i cant wait to see your work.

DWANIMATIONS: first of all you gotta be sure that you're working with components and not just groups, cause once you apply materials to complex shapes file's size does grow a lot. this simple little sceene is over 220 mb and i did not have to explode anything, but armchair model is the most realistic i could find from evermotion, as well as the lamps and table... this sholuld not happen with normal models.

                      Re: Simple Interior Test

very good illustrations. I agree with the crits before, because that leather kinda looks more like a microfiber material and a little too soft. If that was the intent then great, but even with that, the renderings look very well handled. GOod work
