• Simon's gallery

Hi all,
I will post some VfR renders here, as soon as I find the "attach image" button somewhere... :-\

Best regards,
Simon

Okey, lets try.

This is a table grill from last year.

Here is a detail...

Re: Simon's gallery

really good renders

to improve
1: You may add some more bump or glossiness, bowls side walls under the grill are a bit distracting, buttons are too blurry
2: Side reflections of the buttons mixes with steel too much
3: Really nice render, maybe a bit more depth so that button is more blurry than the middle parts
4: Really nice render, a bit less glare

Re: Simon's gallery

I rendered a car I modeled 2007. For the ground I found a plug-in that can make noise to a mesh in Rhino.

Wireframe:

Zdepth:

BMW 2002 DOF:

Some of the materials are still really bad, for example the gold and chrome in the tires, maybe I re-render it some day.

nice car modeling and rendering
a bit glossiness in rims and transparency in headlights might improve the image
why did you post zdepth

Re: Simon's gallery

Thanks KEN28875 and OZANB. Yes I know about the headlights and materials, I really should re-render the scene someday. I could also make a interior shot, I modeled it also. About the zdepth, I put it here to show it to a friend.

Have a nice weekend!

Re: Simon's gallery

even though it is 2007 render it is sure great and have a retro touch in it
I really admired your modeling and rendering skills

additional improvements background hill needs a bit 3d detail instead a 2d projection, front glass may have higher reflection so that it reflects environment more

and try using real sun, if the sun is at that angle, the ground shadows and sky would be a bit more dark,
so you should higher sun a bit more so that the shadow will fall right under the car

and don't postpone rendering much, computers are faster nowadays, you will just adjust some settings and hit render, this kind of projects make you known in public

a project that deserves to be in gallery

I found a exterior rendering I done last summer just for practice.

nice ones!

is it my screen or does this guy give his images a retro touch in terms of white balance?
