Just in order to rech "perfection" : maybe could you try desaturating very slightly the car paint. For now, it seems just a little blown out in some areas.
I also suggest you to try reducing the blur to 0.1 on the background building bump texture (stone). It should make it look a bit sharper. Or maybe is that background just a badly compressed jpg? ... can't see well right now.
But again, that's really a beautiful render, and I love the Simca.
the background is a photo, so i cant change the blur there. Light is too bright in that pic too, but i hadnt time to rerender it.

Most of the car is poly modelled with splines as guides for my poly modelling. Mostly edge extruding and face extruding paired with a lot of chamfering. Then i added a meshsmooth with 2-3 iterations (all the round holes in the body i made with too less edges, thats why the polycount is so damn high on the car.
window frames, rubber sealings are loft objects.
Wanted to use spline cage modelling first, but didnt liked the spline editing, so i went back to box modelling.
Hardest part was to stay with quads for the whole model, would have loved to have max4 or 5 for that work.
yeah!!! that back shot looks incrediblely real!!......
once again, fantastic work......
and talking about that:
I see amazing work being posted here almost every day - this stuff should go in the vray gallery - I mean the work there is good but kinda dated.
(**VLADO - PETER**)??.............
I just think it's a shame to pass up work like this for the vray gallery....
