Yeah i hope there is a solution, at the moment, i either use the games volume controls or alt-tab and use windows. The annoying thing is alot of the games all have very different "default" volume levels, so what seems normal in one game will leave your head ringing for weeks in the next game.

I will have a look around and see what i can find in my local electronics stores, maybe i can get my friend to make me one

hmm I do know some of the newer "multimedia" keyboards have volume controls on them but not sure if they'll work in games or not.

do not use vray hdri env maps on DR - they won't work even if you place your maps on all machines, try default hdri env maps instead.

standard maps seem to work properly, don't know why, even if you do not distribute them to all slaves. hmm.

nothing special, just a speed test: one hdri map, GI turned on, one vray light for shadows, 3 vray mats 100% fresnel reflection. the hdri map is 17MB. 2 render slaves.

ok guys, hope to hold the images a while (furtunately i have got enough webspace ) so this thread may be helpful to others as much as it was for me

        This looks quite familiar

only that mine took about 2-3 hr on a dual pIII on brazil beta a long long time ago.

        wonder about the speed nowadays...

zero youre probably just not turning off the default lighting when using HDRI and DR. It's under the render rollout. Worked for me....

The render posted is not mine., i just said it looks like something i did a long time ago playing with ghöst, or better yet brazil beta! and for no particular reason actually made it to brazil gallery (honoured shock)

Anyways the HDRI and deafult light issue sounds important!
