  • WIP Help Required (Interior Render)

    Hi Guys,
This is my first time posting but I have been reading the forum for a while now and find it a great help!!
I am working on a project for college and wanted to do some shots of the final design using Vray. It is far from finished but I have been testing materials, lighting etc. See attached. Can anyone recommend how to improve the quality of the image as it stands at present? It still looks fake. If you notice the arms of the sofa are showing a grey haze for some reason? There is no material applied to the rug as of yet so please ignore this.
I appreciate any advise in advance.
    Rob

U can smoothen the arc of the rod holding ur lamp by adding addt'l. sides right before u do the follow me" command. u can do this by typing a number, lets say 24 then hit enter right after u click the arc command button( the default is 12). smoothen the edges of ur table and other cube shape model a little bit to add realism ( in real life, the edges are not that sharp or pointy). Decrease the thickness of the glass in ur center table. Play with ur lighting a little bit. And lastly, i dunno if it's just me, but i find the wood textures (the grains, colors etc.) a bit too much. I think its best to stick to just one texture and tone of wood.

            Hope this helps.

Design suggestion: Maybe you want to use a different color than white for all the cabinetry/trim of cabinetry? Nice render though.

Thanks for the tips. I'll be sure to make note and post more renders on new projects.
