  • Reception Area Render - ADVICE DESIRED!

Here's a sample render for a reception / lobby. Ignore the openings to the outside, they will be filled in. My concerns lie with the recessed lights. The intensity is 2700 for the lights, which works I think, but where the fixture sits, the light gets incredibly choppy and pixellated. I can only assume this is because of the size of the rectangular light inside the recession. The rec. light is the same size as the opening. Also, little dots of light are produced across the floor but only on one side. Huh

One last thing....notice that right now there are no splotches of light cast across the back wall, yet everytime I place the company signage (simple, embossed letters) on the back, suddenly big circular splotches of light appear all over it. Doesn't make sense...

Any advice? I realize it is a simple, material-less scene, but any lighting advice?
Also, the four rectangular solid fixtures need a lamp shade feel and I'm been searching all over. I realize the 2 sided vray material is the way to go, but that's all most forums say: v-ray 2 sided material...without any instructions.

i like the ambient already, need some furniture and other texture to blend in the scene

for lighting internal, probably you could use omni light than rect. light, coz, we still could playing with shadow edge hardness, while if we're using rect. light, the shadow must be soft..

for the light fixture, did you already put the object on their position? if you did, then try to close your su and open the same file again, usually it works.
